Job title: Design Manager

Remuneration: Up to £35,000 pa (depending on experience) plus a company car.

Location: Chesterfield

The Role

• The main challenges of the role are:
  • Manage a team of eight Designers.
  • Help the department increase its creativity – developing elegant, eloquent yet cost effective packs for clients.
  • Deliver value engineering projects for existing and prospective clients – helping to improve margins by sharing cost reductions with customers.

Main responsibilities include:

• To control the development and implementation of all design work.
• Determining and implementing new brand guidelines.
• Working to strict time and budget pressures.
• Supporting the maintenance and growth of existing customer accounts.

The Person

• The key experience and knowledge requirements for the role:
  • Must have man management experience – preferably on a multi-site basis.
  • Experience of POS displays, RRP and conventional corrugated is required.

• The key personal behaviours and attitudes required for the role are:
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasive and project management skills;
  • Innovation, creativity and individuality;
  • Good communication skills;
  • A team-player with a passion.
