Job title: Sales Director

Remuneration: £60,000+ OTE, company car; pension, mobile phone; laptop. Shares will also follow in due course.

The Role

 

  • · A vacancy for a Sales Director has arisen due to a planned retirement next year.
  • · The main challenges of the role are:

o Deliver profitable growth in the industrial packaging market.

o Hence grow current sales of circa £5m to £7m in the next 2-3 years.

o Managing the team of Account Managers.

o Contribute to the Strategic Direction of the business.

o This will be a hands-on role, in addition to the management responsibilities.

 

The Person

 

  • · The key experience and knowledge requirements for the role:

o A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience of operating in a sales management role

o Motivating and coaching of sales staff whilst working in a highly flexible environment

o An understanding & appreciation of financial performance measurements is important.

o A proven track record of developing and winning new sales in a business-to-business environment.

 

  • · The key personal behaviours and attitudes required for the role are:

o Customer focused with an entrepreneurial core.

o A team-player with a passion.

o Strong influencing / negotiating skills.

o Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

o Good communication skills.
