SAICA and Thimm have acquired Tektura Opakowania Paper (TOP)
Tektura Opakowania Paper - a Polish corrugated packaging company, has a turnover of around 17m euros and employs 170 people. TOP’s paper and board divisions were not included in the deal. The future looks bright for TOP with significant investment planned, to increase their capacity and widen their capabilities.
This deal furthers SAICA’s aim to become a global player in Europe. SAICA and Thimm have been putting together strategic alliances since the last 1990’s, and this latest deal sees SAICA with a 49% share and Thimm with 51%.
This follows on quickly from their deal earlier this month with Cutts Recycling in Yorkshire, and from Nov 2010, their acquisition of Futur in Wiltshire.
