Swanline Appoint Former DS Smith Packaging CEO
Swanline Print, the confidential trade supplier of specialist printed packaging and point-of-sale displays (and all-round good guys), has confirmed the appointment of Bob McLellan, former CEO of DS Smith Packaging, as a Non-Executive Director. Mr McLellan, who retired from his role at the UK market leader in April this year, will be involved in a number of key projects at Swanline.
Commenting on the appointment, Swanline MD, Nick Kirby said, “We are delighted to have Bob involved in our on-going strategic development. His wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry will be invaluable.”
We at Know It All have to declare an interest…as it was Bob who set up the Graduate Training scheme at what was then SCA Packaging that your Editor joined a couple of decades ago. It was also Bob who later conducted the second interview before I was hired as a Sales Manager by DS Smith. Hence it is with considerable affection and heartfelt gratitude that I wish Bob well in his new adventure – he will doubtless be an asset to the Swanline Team.
